Darren has around twenty years of experience in UX, an MSc in Applied Ergonomics from the University of Sunderland and is passionate about people.

He has worked extensively in industry-leading companies and has experience in different sectors such as Automotive, Healthcare, Rail and others.

Darren has fulfilled several roles as an interaction designer, information architect, user researcher and others. When asked what he does, he responds, "I help make people’s lives a little easier and keep them safe".

Outside the office, Darren is a sports fanatic, a Middlesbrough season ticket holder, loves to cook, go for park runs, attend music gigs, and litter pick the beach and Seaton Carew area.

Sarah Reed (Davies)

Human Factors Expert

Sarah Reed (Davies) has been working in Human Factors for 30 years delivering human centred data to design and engineering projects, with particular expertise in the automotive and product sectors and with some experience in defence.

Her specialisms are in detailed physical ergonomics, the development of engaging interfaces and methodologies for measuring human experience with products and transport systems.

Sarah's understanding of the human condition is extensive and probably unique as she came to her MSc in Human Factors from working as a Chartered Physiotherapist and has since trained and is registered as a Psychotherapist.

She currently has a special interest in both physical and psychological comfort for all, wellness data and biofeedback for health as well as traditional HF scenarios.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys being outdoors in nature and by the sea, yoga and paddleboarding.

Products that feel natural, deliver value, and build trust

Why we are different

We are no ordinary agency.

We specialise where clarity, safety and performance are not an option.

In every project we are working on, we bring deep Human Factors expertise to digital product design.

We help teams simplify complexity, reduce risk & deliver intuitive solutions people trust.

We don’t just make things look pretty. We uncover real user needs that align around what matters.

We stay embedded from early research to rollout, so that great UX makes it to production.

Sustainability in design

At UXCENTRIC, we see sustainability as part of responsible design.

Our role isn’t to code or manufacture, but through research, design, and testing we influence how products are conceived, experienced, and sustained over time.

From reducing digital waste to designing for long-term usability and accessibility, thoughtful choices make products more resilient and less resource-intensive.

Rooted in human factors, we help teams create solutions that work better for people today while being more considerate of the world we share.

Living and working on the coast, we’re reminded daily of the impact design can have.

That perspective keeps us focused on creating digital experiences that are not only engaging and effective, but also inclusive and supportive of a greener future.
