I approached UXcentric in 2018 whilst fleshing out the specifications for Gobby - with the aim to innovate and disrupt the online survey market. I was struggling to bring the concept to life, and they immediately understood the need for stripping back what I wanted to achieve, starting with user journeys and visualising step-by-step application wireframes. It not only helped present the specification to technical partners, it also enabled me to frame Gobby’s story to anyone that would listen - with high-quality imagery.

Fast forward to 2022 and we have a strong and ongoing relationship with UXcentric. Their input has informed other aspects of the business, such as identifying customer touch points and service design, to creating onboarding resources for both internal and external customers.

Gobby now has a well-documented and user-driven breakdown of the software application, providing a focal point for the whole project team. I would highly recommend UXcentric, not only for innovators embarking on projects but also for established products and services that are looking for challenge and person-centred design updates.

infotec approached UXcentric as our partner to collaborate on a project with Network Rail at Manchester Piccadilly Station. Specifically, the project was to use our PIS displays to help resolve a passenger traffic management issue on platforms 13 and 14.


We chose them following discussions on the project brief and after they carried out a comprehensive analysis of some of our previous work, which we were very impressed with. Working with them was very easy and the output was exactly what we needed.


The display designs for Manchester, and subsequently London Waterloo and Victoria have been very successful and have received lots of positive feedback, both from passengers and from the management teams. The new strategy has helped change passenger behaviour and had an impact on the volume of traffic.


We would highly recommend working with UXcentric as a partner and we are looking forward to collaborating with them again in the future.

Particle Design needed support from UXcentric on an automotive project, with VinFast, at the beginning of 2020. 


Darren came highly recommended by a mutual friend and colleague. He had a wealth of experience in the automotive space and once we had an initial chat I was convinced that he could add something and would work well with the team.


Together with the team in Vietnam, we have developed a new interaction model for a primarily touch-based infotainment system, with what we hope to be an industry leading user experience. This system will roll out from 2022 and onwards. 


While Darren has spent a lot of that time working on the ADAS related systems, he has also contributed a great deal to the overall experience, bringing a lot of his design skills and technical knowledge that have helped enormously.


I would highly recommend using UXcentric, particularly in the automotive space. Darren is extremely capable, hard-working and a pleasure to work with.

UXcentric helped to save the day really. We needed a proof of concept to demonstrate at an important marketing event and only had a short space of time. Also, their POC has provided the specification for the first iteration of the user interface and given us something to build on.

We chose a usability consultancy in the same way as we choose other professionals: recommendation. UXCentric was recommended to us as having done great work on previous projects on the CyberASAP scheme we were working on.

The engagement was straightforward. We discussed the needs, and he gave us timescales for completing the work. Darren produced a timely and detailed review of the website, making practical and useful suggestions how to improve it to make it more engaging for future users.  The whole was sent as a report with graphical examples of what was meant, to make it easy to implement the changes.

We worked through the changes; they didn’t take more than a day or two to implement. The result is a much better and more engaging website.

I would certainly recommend Darren to others needing a similar service.
